BECCA ODOM, LCSW, E-RYT 200
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Yoga Teacher, my passion is to empower others to heal themselves and to provide individuals with the skills to create lasting change in their lives. I primarily work individually with women who are seeking ways to recover from trauma and increase their resiliency through managing stress and anxiety more effectively.
I combine transformational counseling with mindful embodiment techniques to create a space for deep emotional, physical and spiritual healing. I love empowering women to find their voice, take back their power and build a healthier relationship with themselves and their bodies. My goal is to empower individuals in their healing by increasing their self-awareness, self-regulation and compassionate communication skills.
Originally from Arkansas, I moved to Asheville in 2011 and completed my 200-hour yoga training shortly after at the Asheville Yoga Center. Since then, I have taught more than 2,000 hours and received an E-RYT200 designation from Yoga Alliance. I have been practicing yoga for 13 years and I have been able to witness firsthand my process of growth, self-exploration and healing through these practices.
My background includes receiving my Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Social Work, as well as completing a 230-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training, and two 10-day Vipassana Meditation courses.
I am in network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield for individual therapy.
